Got a mentor

I am currently working at web developer's role for a few years and i reached conclusion that i am very clamped in my current position. There is an economical crisis in my country... AI... Also my niche qualification is really affects in competitions.

My main programming language is Ruby. It's really great choice for startups, prototyping or just simply - fast development. Due of crisis nobody is ready to invest a bag of gold into experiments. Also, AI is allows to simplify the developming and make it faster to acceptable level.

At the current moment i am working with mentor, learning new programming language. I am paying is about 500 bucks and also i must to pay equivalent to my salary in 3 months. For that price my learning is boosted by 3-5 times. I am not only learned the new programming language - i am also reinforced my foundation skills and learned a lot new things (databases, microservice architecture, k8s).

Also i am learned how to effeciently find a job, how to make resume and discussins about salaries.

Does it matters to spend is about to 3000-4000 bucks for mentor? Of course! At the age when all vacansies is made by AI, at the age when all resumes is wathes only by AI, at the age of the huge competitions by 1 vacancy it is absolutely worth it.

Mentor is could be good for everyone?

nope.

If you already know your way and know where the finish and end of your path - you definitely not needed for mentor. Also if you have a much time for studying - do it alone. Pretty cool strategy is to share your experience or path in internet. I really enjoys to watch some videos of beginners, their feelings, progress. That's very impressive thats people sharing themselves to the world!
